Camron-Stanford House
Maivy Nguyen, Historic House Manager for the Camron-Stanford House Museum will present the history of this victorian lakeside retreat representing built during the early Gilded Age boom of the Bay Area.
The Hearst Estates; Hearst Castle and Wyntoon
Victorian Kastner, author and historian will present the dynamic relationship and opulent world created architect/client duo Julia Morgan and William Randolph Hearts
Carolands
Paul Price, Carolands Foundation Archivist will present the story of the development and preservation of Carolands, the grand beaux-arts mansion of Pullman heiress Harriett Pullman Carolan.
Green Gables
David Fleishhacker, the last remaining grandchild of Mortimer and Florence Fleishhacker will present the history and his personal memories of Green Gables, a 75 acre private estate developed over three generations of the Fleishhacker family.
Host Site
Our host site is Filoli, a National Trust for Historic Preservation property. Filoli is one of the grandest and most recognizable country house in Northern California. Built in 1915 for Mr. and Mrs. William Bowers Bourn II by architect Willis Polk. The grand classical mansion and formal gardens incorporates touches of traditional English Georgian design with Mediterranean accents to create a distinctly California style. The house is probably most notable from the TV series Dynasty and has been used in numerous film and television productions.
