Rural Reclamation Project

The American Country House Foundation has launched a new initiative the Rural Reclamation Project to help facilitate the rescue and preservation of at-risk and endangered rural sites.  Across the nation are thousands of residential properties and support buildings abandoned and at risk of being lost forever.  In many instances these properties are salvageable and provide housing opportunities that are low impact on the environment.

How it works - Contributors help the ACHF identify at risk properties. We maintain a database of those properties and through affiliate counsel contact current properties owners to encourage preservation of those properties or work with those owners to identify potential owners who are vetted to ensure that those owners will be able to rehabilitate these structures.
